From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The possible Smooth-leaved Elm U. minor subsp. minor cultivar Planifolia was listed by Loudon in Arb. Frut. Brit. 3: 1377, 1838 as U. campestris (:minor) var. planifolia. Described as "a handsome small tree, closely resembling U. campestris var. parvifolia" (ie U. parvifolia Jacq.). Green (1964) opined that the species was uncertain and probably now extinct.
