Plain Rap is the 2000 3rd full-length LP by Los Angeles rap group The Pharcyde.

The album, while common knowledge to Hip-Hop fans, was one of the group's least-recognized and worst-selling releases ever. This had much to do with The Pharcyde becoming a three-member group. (as opposed to the original four).

The group had damaged their own credibility by kicking out acclaimed MC Fatlip in 1996. Although it was reportedly because of his wild behavior, fans did not receive the move well. Although he is now on good terms with SlimKid3, he has yet to mend ties with now-remaining Pharcyde members Imani and Bootie Brown.
