Plagusia depressa tuberculata (Lamarck, 1818) |
Plagusia depressa tuberculata is a marine crab of the family Grapsidae. It is found in tropical Indo-Pacific oceans, specimens occasionally drifting as far south as New Zealand, and as far north as Japan, clinging to driftwood.
Plagusia depressa tuberculata is similar to Plagusia capense with its flat shape, and slightly convex back covered with flattened tubercles. Its colour is reddish with darker blood-red spots and speckles.
