Placostylus ambagiosus priscus is an extinct large terrestrial gastropod mollusc in the family Bulimulidae, endemic to Cape Maria van Diemen in Northland in the North Island of New Zealand.
The shell is tall and narrow with a narrowly oval aperture, having all apertural processes, apart from the parietal tubercle, heavily callused. Shells have been radio-carbon dated to 2140+- 90 years old.
Height is up to 81 mm, and width up to 33 mm.
