Placostylus ambagiosus paraspiritus is a large rare terrestrial gastropod mollusc in the family Bulimulidae, endemic to Cape Maria van Diemen in Northland in the North Island of New Zealand.

The shell is similar to Placostylus ambagiosus ambagiosus in size and shape, but with only the basal lip tubercle well developed. The coloration differs also in being dark warm brown externally and reddish-brown within the aperture.

Height is up to 72 mm, and width up to 32 mm.

Placostylus ambagiosus paraspiritus is classified by the New Zealand Department of Conservation as being Nationally Endangered.
