Placido Costanzi

Placido Costanzi (c. 1690 - 1759) was an Italian painter, active during the late-Baroque period, active in Rome.
Known as a historical painter in Rome. Born to a family of gem-makers, he trained with Benedetto Luti. He supposedly painted figures into landscapes of the painter Jan Frans van Bloemen (Orizzonte). He painted frescoes in the tribune in Santa Maria in Vallicella and the picture of Raising of Tabitha in Santa Maria degli Angeli. He also traveled to France and Spain.
