PJIRC

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PJIRC is an open source Java applet IRC client. It can be embedded in a web page and used on any web browser that supports the Java programming language. It is great for those who do not care to download a client.

Unlike many another Java applet PJIRC can also be run in application mode, without the need of either website, or browser. All it requires is some form of Java Runtime Environment, preferably from Sun's own website. Thus making it completely cross-platform.

Fully featured, it is probably the most customisable chat applet around, with the almost unique capability of expansion via plugins, even to the extent of limited scripting support via an events plugin & Javascript.
