Pizza strips

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pizza strips (also known as strip pizza, or more commonly, bakery pizza) is a style of pizza common in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. They have a somewhat thick crust and are topped with a thick tomato sauce. Pizza strips are traditionally made with no cheese or toppings and are served at room temperature. Most are sold at small local bakeries. While regarded highly by residents of the area, many visitors find these to be of little value other than a novelty.
