Pizhma River (Komi Republic)

Pizhma River (Russian: Пижма) is a river in Komi Republic in Russia, an arm of the Pechora River. The length of the river is 389 km, the area of its basin is 5,470 sq km. The Pizhma flows out of the Yamozero. The river freezes up in late October - early November and stays icebound until late April - early May. The Pizhma is navigable within its lower reaches.
