Pivotlog

Pivotlog, or Pivot is a web publishing system (or content management system) written in PHP. Pivot is used to manage frequently-updated Web content, such as Weblogs and other dynamic sites. It is distributed under the GPL and is available free of charge.

Pivot was started by Bob den Otter, a developer from the Netherlands. The first release appeared in June 2001, and subsequent releases are named after Transformers characters. While initially the userbase was almost exclusively Dutch, by December 2001 the userbase began to expand to incorporate other countries. In August 2002, Kevin Pascal assumed the administrative role for the Pivot community and moved Pivot to its current home, pivotlog.net.
One of the pivotal releases was version 1.20 'Arcee', released on the 13th December, 2004. This version featured an improved administration interface, and allowed users to easily create extensions, or plugins, to customize and improve the performance of their blog.
The current stable version is version 1.30.2, also named 'Rippersnapper'.
The current beta version is 1.40 'Dreadwind', which features comment moderation, greatly improved Metaweblog API support, registered visitor administration and more.
