Pittsford Plaza

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Pittsford Plaza, located on Monroe Ave. in Rochester, NY. The plaza contains many stores and restaurants. It is down the road from the Erie Canal and is on the west side of Pittsford.

The stores include Radioshack, Eckerd, a now defunct Chase-Pitkins, an art store called Micheals, Irish Imports, Famous Footwear, Wegmans, and Barnes & Noble. The restaurants Applebee's, Camille's Cafe, Tastings, and Black and Blue are located here as well. There is also a small movie theater (9 screens) called the Pittsford Cinema. It is known for being the only suburban theater in Rochester that shows one to two independent films every week and giving discounts to students.

Most notable are the Barnes & Noble and Wegmans. The two story Barnes & Noble houses a Starbucks and is the largest in Rochester. Wegmans' has a four star restaurant in it called Tastings and is one of the larger Wegmans' in the state. Notoriously in Rochester, Cher has visited this Wegmans. She was even noted saying that she wishes the chain exended to her current residence.

The whole area is known for being very neat and organized, much like the rest of Pittsford. Trees line the parking lot in front of Wegmans and the main parking lot seems to have enough room for all the many stores. On the other side of the street includes a McDonald's, a Wendy's, and a Subway.
