Pissaladière

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pissaladiere (pissaladiera in Provencal) is a type of pizza made in and around the city of Nice, France. It generally has a topping consisting of sauteed onions, olives, and anchovies and occasionally cheese, and generally would be classed as a type of white pizza due to a lack of tomato products. The dough is usually thicker than that of pizza (which is nearly always thin in France) and it is consumed as starters, or as appetizers.
