Pirate booty can refer to any object acquired through the act of looting or pillaging performed by a pirate.

Pirates are generally considered anybody who engages in the act of piracy, or robbery at sea. But pirates are not limited to robbery at sea. In the Golden Age of piracy, there were many thousands of attacks worldwide on coastal towns by bands occasionally numbering in the thousands.

With the rise of piracy in regions such as Asia, one may consider an entire cargo ship of goods pirate booty if hijacked at sea. Alternatively, Asia's growing child sex trade has led to the often frequent selling of a young piratess' booty to wealthy businessmen.
