[edit] Cyber Nations

A tag has been placed on Cyber Nations, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article is a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Cyber Nations is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Cyber Nations saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we ask you to follow these instructions. Calton | Talk 04:45, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

  • It isn't a repost, it's a 100% rewrite.Pious7 17:37, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you for your level-headedness

Thank you for your level-headedness on the NationStates AFD. Although I chose to endorse the most recent deletion of CyberNations, an article probably isn't too far off. I agree with Guy on the deletion review: if the source from Norway was about the game itself and not an incident, we might not be having that discussion right now. – Chacor 02:26, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion Review closed

The deletion review has now been closed. There is a multi-paragraph closer's comment inside the collapsed review. The short form, write a new article under the guidance at Wikipedia:Amnesia test. GRBerry 15:29, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

I can't really do anything about the SPA tag that was placed. If you read the full closing comment, I only discarded two opinions as new single purpose accounts. I can assure you that yours was not one of them.
As to the catch-22 feeling. You have one userspace version at a user subpage, User:Pious7/Cyber Nations. Some one else has one as well. The article can be rewritten on a user sub-page, either that one or elsewhere. You can encourage other people to work on it with you. User space pages are not sancrosanct pages which only that user can edit. Look at the history of one of my user sub-pages; only 20 of between 350 and 400 edits are from me. The deletion review gives some guidance as to what to do. In addition to my close comments, take a look at the opinions from Angus McLellan, Guy, and Night Gyr. (Yeah, we all sound similar in our advice; there is a reason for that.) BJ's opinion doesn't include any advice, but was part of the consensus that it is probably possible to do a new article.
Ask for further advice from any of those people. Ask for help at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games; that project is quite active and you'll probably get some. If the article is improved enough, any admin can remove the protection. They may say come back to deletion review, given the troubled history. I'm now the regular deletion review closer, so I would prefer to let some one else advice on the details in order to avoid prejudicing a future deletion review. GRBerry 02:13, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cockroaches

Hello and sorry for the spam. You participated in this discussion, which was closed but now restarted as a new discussion by the closing admin. In case you're interested, please join the new one. Thank you. Regards, Húsönd 20:25, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Thank you for pointing this out, I have commented (and actually changed my opinion on the subject). — Pious7TalkContribs 18:05, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cybernations

I'm Teak II of Okarito on Cybernations and I was wondering how I could help other than having it on my watchlist? Teak the Kiwi 17:42, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

  • WP:BOLD - if you can add to it, do so... as long as it improves it. — Pious7TalkContribs 17:56, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
    • Do we get ingame bonuses like the forum post said? Teak the Kiwi 22:57, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
      • Only if you help it get on the mainspace (right now it's a subpage of my user page) and the CN admin agrees to the request for a free bonus. Contribute for the sake of helping CN/Wikipedia, not for any bonus. — Pious7TalkContribs 02:01, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Quick Question

You left, don't leave your username" on my talk page. I just wanted to ask you to do me a favor. I have made an article called "Michael curry Puppet Designer" and have ran out of energy to finish the page. The external link to the project list is on my external links there. Would you please complete it for me? ThanksMeldshal42 20:37, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

  • See WP:NOT#DIR. You probably only need a biography and then a link to the projects he's involved in except for perhaps a few significant ones. — Pious7TalkContribs 20:43, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
