Piotr Stolyarsky

Pitor Stolyarsky (born in 1871 in Kiev, died in 1944) was a Ukrainian violinist and teacher.

Stolyarsky first studied with his father, then subsequently with Emil Mlynarski and Josef Karbulka in Odessa. In 1911, he founded his private school, which was eventually incorporated into the Odessa Conservatory in the mid-1920s. In 1939, Stolyarksy was named People's Artist of the Soviet Ukraine.

He was the teacher of renowned violinists David Oistrakh and Nathan Milstein.
