[edit] Image Tagging Image:Tappert.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Tappert.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

It seems like the {{publicity}} tag, source information and a fair use rational on the image description page would be the most useful thing you could do here. Regards, Dethomas 04:07, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Perezgroupalone.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Perezgroupalone.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 05:28, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Great work on all of the Italian Universities. I noticed you've also been adding a lot of links. If you want to denote what language the link is in you can use a template before the link like {{it icon}}=(Italian) or {{en icon}}=(English). Keep up the good work - AKeen 21:18, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] University wikiproject

I came across your edits to Universities and I thought you might be interested in giving a hand when you can to a wikiproject dedicated to standardizing coverage of universities and colleges world wide: Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/Colleges and Universities. As part of the project we have consolidated the 42+ country specific infoboxes and are now working on making sure that every university has an article and an infobox. If not, best luck in your editing. --Reflex Reaction (talk)• 17:40, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright issues

A number of images you have uploaded seem to have copyright issues. Please note that for all images you upload, you must cite the source and copyright holder of the image. Just listing a website isn't enough. And images you get from websites are not necessarily public domain, so please do not label them as such unless they actually are. WP:COPY has more info on this. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 20:12, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New stub articles

Please do not create a new article about an episode of a television show unless you are ready to add a substantial amount of information to it. I would advise you to create one at a time and not move on to the next until you have, at a minimum, several paragraphs. In the case of Derrick (TV series), there are a lot of episodes and I don't think every episode will necessarily warrant a page. Moulder 18:40, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] German actor stubs

Hi I have notcied you rstubs on german actors. I am doing the same with Finnish actors e.g Pamela Tola. However try to add a little bit of info like this using the imdb filmography. E.g Hoffmann began his acting career in 1972 in Die Aufschnaider and has appeared in over 20 films between then and 1995. SInce 1996 he has appeared mainly on TV in Germany appearing in Das ist mein auto etc. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 19:33, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Richymueller.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Richymueller.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. [edit] Regarding edits made during December 2, 2006

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you for creating these stubs! If you create more of these, feel free to announce them here. You might also be interested in joining the Germany project. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 14:33, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Please expand your stubs a bit before creating many more of them. They technically fall under speedy deletion criterion WP:CSD#A7, as they do not state why the persons are notable in their field per the notability guideline. In my experience, filing a translation request at WP:GTIE will produce a good article faster than creating a bad stub, because people love creating new articles, but are not so very much interested in expanding stubs. So please slow down a bit and expand these articles a bit. Thank you, Kusma (討論) 19:58, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Frank Duval Time for lovers.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Frank Duval Time for lovers.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

[edit] Notability of Bettina Redlich

A tag has been placed on Bettina Redlich, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

[edit] Radio Enciclopedia

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Radio Enciclopedia, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
