[edit] Year in Footy
This is a great idea. Excellent work!! --Debunct 03:59, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sports categories
Is there really much point creating categories that only have one article in them? Some of them I can't honestly see that there are any other articles to go in them. Average Earthman 09:36, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
- Should say - I don't think the categories should all be deleted, perhaps just merged (e.g. merge the 1880 through to 1889 in Sports categories as an 1880s in Sports category) Average Earthman 09:49, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 1950 Italian GP
I've noticed you edited this to indicate Fagioli was DSQ from the race. Do you have a source? I have numerous books and have looked at a number of websites, including F1's own archive, and find no mention of this. Thanks :) Chris (talk) 21:14, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Formula One Records
Well done for updating the lists but you've made a right mess of it. I spent ages putting tables up after the last update, so can you please put it table form. Also you grammar on the headers is awful, I guess, being from Italy, English is not you first language, so well done for being able to write some, I can't write anything Italian. So can you ask next time and I'll help you out but now I'll have to sort out your mess.

[edit] Brazilian Footballers
Hey, thanks for adding the Brazilian articles! I've been going through these, and so many of them are obviously wrong or confusing, but I don't know how to correct them. Now you are doing it! Going through all of these pages - not just goalscorers but the World Cup pages in general - is bringing up so many errors, I don't know where to begin. But having a base page for each player so I can refer to something concrete instead of just wondering if all these various "da Silvas" are the same person or not -- this is fantastic. Thanks again.
Now we just need to paw through all the other pages and correct and standardize the names! That should only take a million years or so.
With the Brazilians in particular, but also the Spanish and Portuguese and some other players, the profusion of names makes it very hard to tell them apart without a key reference, which you are providing? My feeling is, with these types of players, to refer to them EVERYWHERE by only their "popularized" name, i.e., Pelé, and only spell out their full name, i.e. Edson Arantes do Nascimento, on their individual page. This would simplify things a lot, with only a few examples (like "Junior") that need to be further disambiguated. Then make sure there are lots and lots of redirect pages, with and without accent marks and so on. Do you think this is a good idea? \ Fnarf999 \ talk \ contribs \ 16:15, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ademir
Since you seem to know much about Brazilian football, can you please let me know whether this edit that I made is correct. 'Inside forward trio' looked odd, but it could be correct if Brazil had used 5 forwards and Ademir-Jair-Zizinho were the three in the middle. Tintin (talk) 07:45, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Three times World Cup Winners" Category
Isn't Pele the only three-time winner? I think so, so I've nominated this category for speedy deletion. I may be wrong, though. --Jim (Talk) 10:52, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Serie A Results
I see you put up all the results for the 2000/2001 season using a neat table.
I've adapted that for 20 teams and we're going to use it for the 2006/2007 season.
Just wondering but would you be up for helping us. We're hoping to put up each results game by game this season with scorers and everything.
Cheers

[edit] Sourcing and copyright
Hi! When using a source, like Nigerian Players.com, please state the source like I did in Abiodun Baruwa. Also it's good if you don't copy the stats straight off the page, since that is considered a copyright violation. Besides, the layout with flags looks so pretty :) Other than that, thanks for the good work! Punkmorten 06:47, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Category:FIFA World Cup-two time winning players
Hi, I noticed that you created the Category:FIFA World Cup-two time winning players. It seems that you had also created the Category:FIFA World Cup-three time winning players, but since Pele is the only player in it, it got deleted. May I suggest changing your category to Category:FIFA World Cup-multiple time winning players? This way Pele can also be added to the category. I doubt we'll see another three-time winning player in the near future. What do you think? Chanheigeorge 18:14, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hello again. I've added the category to be considered for renaming. You can voice your opinion at Wikipedia:Categories_for_deletion#Category:FIFA_World_Cup-two_time_winning_players. Thanks! Chanheigeorge 05:03, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Moving pages
It's easy to move pages to a more desired name, just click the move button near the top of the page. For the sake of preserving edit history, don't "move" an article like you just did to Paykan (football) (I have fixed it now). Thanks, Punkmorten 08:59, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Barnstar
Good job on editing many football (soccer) related articles. I award you this barnstar. You can move it to your user page if you want. Chanheigeorge 08:47, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Grammar
Rooster is a bird. The World Cup has rosters. And nationalities are written in capital letters in English; for instance "he was a French football player". Punkmorten 07:59, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] List of foreign Serie A players
Many thanks for the useful edits (I tried to improve'em, if you wanna take a look)...hope you'll keep on watch&edit the page! (p.s. I'm Italian too...but Bolognese! :P ) --necronudist 12:04, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] FIFA World Cup-two time winning players
Hello again. Sorry to tell you that the Category:FIFA World Cup-two time winning players was deleted after a vote. Anyway, I suggest you can start an article called List of players who have won multiple FIFA World Cups, and put all the relevant information there. Let me know if you need any help! [edit] Wikiproject:Italian Football
Hi ya. I see you add to Italian Football articles from time to time. Just wondering if you want to check out Wikipedia:Italian Football. We are just hoping to organise our efforts towards improving articles better. If you want to sign up just put your name down under participants on the project. You can do as much or as little work as you like and any ideas on improving pages would be great. Niall123 19:27, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Serie B Articles
There is also this page that contains the whole Serie B 2006-07 schedule Serie B 2006-07 Calendar. Maybe it should be linked to the Serie B page too, just like you linked the goal scorers page and the current 2006-07 season page. I just don't know how to do it myself. 70.24.95.4 15:56, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Serie A deletion
You better have a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/La Liga 2006/2007 results December 2006. Basically a non footballing wikipedian has nominated the detailed results sections of Serie A and La Liga for deletion. I'm personally totally against them being deleted. I've voted to keep the pages and I just thought I'd highlight this as you might want to vote either way on this. Thanks Niall123 18:38, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 1987 F1 race reports
Hi Piniricc65. I notice that you recently removed Category:Formula One race reports from all the 1987 Grand Prix articles and applied it to Category:1987 in Formula One instead. There's a discussion currently in progress about this at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Formula_One#Category:Formula_One_race_reports. I thought you may like to contribute to the discussion. Regards. [edit] Category:UEFA European Football Championship goalscorers
I have nominated Category:UEFA European Football Championship goalscorers, a category which you created, for deletion. You can comment on the nomination at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 March 6. Dr. Submillimeter 17:11, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Category change for Australian Grand Prix race reports
Hi Piniricc65. I notice that you've recently recategorised several Australian Grand Prix race report articles from Category:Australian Grand Prix to Category:Australian Grand Prix race reports. Are you planning to make similar changes for all the F1 race reports? -- DH85868993 13:10, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wow - that's a big job. Good luck! (I'll probably assist at some stage). -- DH85868993 13:21, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
