[edit] Contestant articles

Do any of the non-finalist contestants of the Star Academy franchise have their own articles? What's the policy on this? Are they different from the Idol series "policy"? --Howard the Duck 13:30, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

I don't know, but I'm already thinking of prodding Yeng Constantino's article since she is only known for being a contestant and she hasn't broken to that mold yet. - 上村七美 | talk 15:37, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Ok, I'll slap it with prod2 for back up. --Howard the Duck 15:45, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Prod in place. - 上村七美 | talk 08:42, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Prod2 added. --Howard the Duck 08:59, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Love teams

IMHO this article should list the love teams ABS-CBN is trying to create in this program. --Howard the Duck 18:26, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

I don't but the only ones I know are RJxYeng and Jay-RxIya. And since I don't religiously follow PDA as I did with PBB and Philippine Idol, I don't have extensive info about these relationships.
That'll be fine with me. The inclusion of other events inside the "Academy" would be welcome, too. --Howard the Duck 14:52, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
I think the loveteams section would be good. There's this trend in PDA now that loveteams are slowly being torn apart. First was the Geoff-Irish "loveteam", where Geoff was expelled. Next the RJ-Yeng (Churvers) loveteam where RJ was expelled. Then we have the Jay-R-Iya (Iyatsoy) Loveteam where Iya was expelled. THis is folloed by the Davey-Chai loveteam where Chai was expelled (the closest match-up ever at 6-5). The the latst loveteam to be torn apart is the Ronnie-Michelle or "Dawgsters" loveteam -- loveteam because they are calling each other "dawg", and recently, Ronnie called Mich "Cat" and Ronnie as the "dawg". This is just a quick summary of the Loveteams in the house. BTW, the ChaRing or Chad-Rosita loveteam-to-be is still in the academy.
Aside from "loveteams", other sections can be added like other notable events aside from their singing, etc. Just make sure to cite them. --Howard the Duck 08:24, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Scholars or contestants?

I think it's more appropriate that we call the contestants "scholars" than "contestants." -- ユージェイ 03:47, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Fame Academy alternates with "students" and "contestants." IMHO, we should remove jargon like "scholars", there are people who are not familiar with the program and so the article should use the more widely-used "contestant." Same with "expulsion night" should be changed into "elimination night," etc. --Howard the Duck 08:53, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
I understand. The terms "expulsion night," "on probation," and "dropped out" are already okay and understood, but it's all right with me if you changed them to "elimination night," "nominated," and "walked," respectively. I don't know whether the other members who edit the article every week will agree on this. -- ユージェイ 14:58, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
I was thinking of this since last night. There should be a definition of terms section in this article. - 上村七美 | talk 11:46, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

I would like to reemphasize that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and as such, should be avoiding jargon only the avid viewers know, such as "scholars." As for expulsion nights, etc., I'll be finding more appropriate terms for these fanspeak. --Howard the Duck 02:50, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pics

Can somebody label them, like from left to right, Scholar A, Scholar B, etc.? --Howard the Duck 08:51, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

I'll do it, even the hosts. -- ユージェイ 14:58, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
How about using the most popular name? The caption is longer than the pic. Thanks. --Howard the Duck 16:12, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
I used their first names. Is that okay? -- ユージェイ 16:26, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
I think that'll be fine. --Howard the Duck 16:36, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hosts

By the way, do you think we should create a section about the show's hosts? We could put the uploaded pictures of the hosts in that section and add important information, such as their roles in the show, reason why Roxanne Barcelo hosted the UpLate show, and etc. With references, of course. -- ユージェイ 16:26, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Table

so what happens to the table after the 12th expulsion night?RebSkii 19:36, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use pics

Currently this page has 8 fair use pics, with the finale alone having 4. We'd have to let go on some of the pics. Any suggestions? --Howard the Duck 04:00, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RJ And Yeng

Please let them sing If we fall in love, in ASAP, and Homeboy. They are very good team. And their songs are really nice and for the young at hearts.
