Pinsdorf is a village in Upper Austria in the district of Gmunden. At the 2001 census with 3,445 inhabitants. Dieter Helms (SPÖ) has been mayor of Pinsdorf since 2002

The Bauernhügel is a memorial in Pinsdorf, which remembers of the brutal war between the Bavarian stadtholder Adam Graf von Herbertstorff and the farmers, who live in this principality. The farmers fought against the counter-reformation. The myth means, that under this hill there are the skeletons of the killed farmers. An obelisk remembers of this Battle of Gmunden
