Pineda, Florida

Pineda is a former village in Brevard County, Florida, United States There was a causeway named after this place called the Pineda Causeway that carries 4 lanes of Florida State Road 404 1.8 miles north of here. It is located at the intersection of Suntree Boulevard and U.S. Route 1 east of Suntree and the Florida East Coast Railroad. It is home to Rotary Park at Suntree. The village has only 33 homes, including 8 riverfront homes. The residential streets are, Third Street, Aspinwall Avenue, Gannet Plaza Avenue, Friendship Place, Ernest Sand Road, 2nd Street, Turner Road, and Byham Road.

[edit] Rotary Park at Suntree

At the junction of Suntree Boulevard and U.S. Route 1, this 10 acre community river park is situated on the shore of the Indian River Lagoon. The large pavilion includes restrooms, barbeque pits, and an expansive river view. Along the shore and boardwalk are 6 picnic shelters with grills and a nearby playground The fishing pier invites lesurely strools and fishing.

Pineda is located at 28°13′47″N, 80°40′16″W. (28°13"47 N -80°40'16 W). Bounded to the west is Suntree, to the east is the Indian River Lagoon, to the south is Palm Shores, and to the north is Bonaventure. The area is 1.9 square miles.
