Pine Tree Academy is a private, co-ed K-12 school with dormitories for the high school located in Freeport, Maine. It is an excellent school for all kids of all ages and anyone is welcome to join the school. Pine Tree was founded in 1974 and they have a great basketball team that has made it to a lot of tournaments in Augusta Civic Center. Pine Tree Academy has a lot of School sports and they play in the Western Class D Boys. Pine Tree is a Seventh-day Advantist school. It has a lot of different subjects that you can be in and it has high quality education that you can learn from. They have chimes and bell-ringers. Pine Tree is part of the Seventh Day Adventist Conference. Jerod Verrill of the 06 graduating class at Pine Tree Academy scored over 1,000 points in his high school career. The team name for Pine Tree Academy is called the Breakers. The high school seniors go on Missionary trips. Pine Tree is approved by the Maine Department of Education. The Mission statement is "To Receive and reflect the Son. The school motto is "Ye are the light of the world" Matthew 5:14
