Pine Mountain Club (known as PMC by the locals) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 1,600 at the 2000 census. This town is comprised mainly of vacation homes, northwest and west of the San Fernando Valley and Gorman, to the west of Interstate 5, and sits in a deep valley on the San Andreas fault, in the same area where the California Condor range.

The town is between Apache Saddle and Pinon Pines Estates along Mil Portero Highway. It is surrounded by Los Padres National Forest. Wired telephone numbers in Pine Mountain Club follow the format (661) 242-xxxx. The ZIP Code 93222 is shared with Frazier Park.

Pine Mountain Club is located at 34°50′58″N, 119°9′29″W (34.849331, -119.158141)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 43.9 km² (17.0 mi²), all land.

Pine Mountain Club ranges from 4,901 feet (1,494 m) in elevation to 6,400 feet (1,951 m) in elevation.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 1,600 people, 668 households, and 478 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 36.4/km² (94.3/mi²). There were 1,737 housing units at an average density of 39.5/km² (102.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 90.75% White, 0.56% Black or African American, 1.19% Native American, 0.75% Asian, 0.44% Pacific Islander, 3.38% from other races, and 2.94% from two or more races. 9.12% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 668 households out of which 26.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.6% were married couples living together, 4.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.3% were non-families. 22.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.40 and the average family size was 2.83.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 23.3% under the age of 18, 3.1% from 18 to 24, 23.7% from 25 to 44, 35.3% from 45 to 64, and 14.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 45 years. For every 100 females there were 100.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.8 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $45,250, and the median income for a family was $62,750. Males had a median income of $45,375 versus $33,661 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $25,465. About 15.3% of families and 17.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 26.2% of those under age 18 and 9.4% of those age 65 or over.
