The Pine-Richland High School's mascot is the ram. The Pine-Richland Rams sports teams include football, boys and girls soccer, basketball, hockey, volleyball, baseball, tennis, boys and girls lacrosse, wrestling, track,swimming/Diving, cross country, and gymnastics.

The Rams baseball, girls soccer, hockey, gymnastics, and volleyball teams were all state champions in the 2005-2006 school year. They also had the 2005-2006 Gatorade Thirst Quencher Pennsylvania Volleyball Player of the Year in Jamel Nicholas.

Art displays/exhibitions occur year round in Pine Richland High School. These include photography, drawings, paintings and self portraits are seen hanging in the halls.

The largest class/activity in Pine Richland School District, the band is split into three sections in the fall/winter seasons they have their all star rams marching band complete with tuba feature, band dance, color guard, dance team, and drumline and in the second half of the season they have concert band which consists of two parts the concert band and wind ensemble. Wind Ensemble, the better of the two groups, plays harder pieces and sometimes accompanies the String Orchestra for a full symphony.

The Pine-Richland High School has earned more recognitions and awards for its musical theater then any other school in Western Pennsylvania.[citation needed]
