Pilton, Edinburgh

Pilton is a working class suburb of northern Edinburgh, Scotland. It is to the north of the Ferry Road and near Granton.

Pilton has a reputation for "roughness" and in 2006, a CCTV there was firebombed by youths. Housing here is very cheap, and there are a number of empty properties. Pilton is nearly all residential, with a handful of shops. The area is famous for drug dealers, drive-bys and shootings it also has one of the three shops in edinburgh with bulletproof glass and a cage
