"Pilot" is the pilot episode of the science fiction television series, Dark Angel. The episode is approximately 85 minutes.

In 2009, Max/X5-452, along with 11 others like her, escape from a secret government facility in Gillette, Wyoming known as Manticore. Ten years later, in a post-apocalyptic world brought on by "the pulse", Max is now 19 and working as a bike messenger at Jam Pony. While on a delivery, she spots a statue in an apartment across the street. Max decides to swing by that night and swipe the statue, to pay for her research on the other X5 escapees. In the process, she discovers the identity of Eyes Only, who mistakes her for someone else. He is relieved when realizing she is a thief and when security arrives, Max jumps out the window.
