Pikes Peak Library District

Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) is a nationally recognized system of public libraries serving a population of 508,000 in El Paso County, Colorado.
Pikes Peak Library District has resources for children, teenagers, adults, and seniors. Resources are available in multiple languages, large print, and audio formats. Featured services include: web picks, reading lists, book discussion groups, business and nonprofit resources, a Breast Cancer Resource Center, legal resources, literacy for children, families and adults, and regional history and genealogy resources.
The Pikes Peak Library District Foundation and Friends support Library funding and advocate for the Library in the community.
The Library sponsors three major annual community programs: All Pikes Peak Reads (APPR); Summer Reading Programs for Kids and Teens; and the Adult Reading Program. In addition, the Library hosts events for all ages and interests, including storytimes, computer classes, and author visits.
The Library is host to the Shivers African-American Historical & Cultural Collection, the El Pomar Nonprofit Resource Center, the Community Breast Cancer Resource Center, and the El Paso County Bar Law Library.
The Library has free Internet and Microsoft Office access at all locations, wireless connectivity at some locations, as well as a collection of eBooks and eAudios, email reading lists, and Ask-a-Librarian online reference service.
