[edit] WikiProject Belgium

Hallo,

--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 10:51, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your help on the Single-grain experiment article. It was DYK on October 12. I really appreciated it. Chris 01:59, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Eyck, Jan Van — Eyckes!

Hi Piet, I noticed your still active Note on your personal page though you found the proper guideline. In case you really wonder why especially Dutch people keep putting Van Eyck under 'E', the issue was tiresomely discussed in several sections (1)/(2)/(3)/(4) on Template talk:FOSS celeb. Kind regards. — SomeHuman 29 Nov 2006 22:30 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Uncategorized

Hi Piet,

...someone asked to change the wording of this template, but now it's very confusing. "Should belong in a category" seems redundant, although technically it could be right. What makes it confusing is that belong can indicate where something is but also where something should be (hence redundancy with the first should). I think you better change it to "This article should be in one or more categories". Piet | Talk 13:40, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

I was about to use "be" when I thought of "appear"; hope that's okay!  Yours, David Kernow (talk) 15:53, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hi from RichardShuSr

Hi Piet,

Happy New Year. Haven't talked to you in a while. Hope all is well with you. I thought of you because your user page is on my watchlist and I noticed you removed your personal info from it. That is, of course, your prerogative but I wonder if you are concerned about putting personally identifiable information out there for everybody to see. Would you share with me what your concerns are?

[edit] Aztec protection

Hi there Piet, long time no chat, and a belated New Year's greetings. I agree that it's about time to remove the semiprotection at Aztec, so I've now done this. Just for future reference, removing or adding the {{sprotect}} template itself does not change the protection status of a page, the action can only be done by someone with administrative rights. The template is there more so for informational purposes, and to categorise the page as a protected one (the instructions there aren't all that clear). To request a change in protection status, you can go to WP:RFPP, and/or leave a msg on the talk page. Anyways, we'll soon see whether the tedium of schoolyard vandalism returns- cheers, --cjllw | TALK 01:44, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
