Pietro I Orseolo

Pietro I Orseolo (Peter Urseolus) was a doge of Venice from 976 to 978 AD, but reisgned to become a Camaldolese hermit in Abbey of Sant Miguel de Cuxa in the Pyrenees. He is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church and his feast day is January 10.
