Pierre Guédron
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pierre Guédron, (c.1570 – c.1620), was the composer of one of the finest Air de cour Cessés mortels de soupirer, which is relatively unknown because it is not yet published in a modern practical edition for performance.
Guédron's Est-ce Mars (1613) was especially popular and is known in versions by Sweelinck (keyboard), Scheidt (5 part strings) and Vallet (4 lutes of different sizes).
