Pierre Adet

The chemist Pierre Auguste Adet was born on 1763-05-18 in Nevers in France. He worked with Lavoisier on a new chemical notation system, and was secretary to the chemical magazine Annales de chimie, founded in 1789. Later he became French ambassador to the United States, and prefect in Nevers. He died in 1834.
