Picton Pirates

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Picton Pirates are a Junior "C" team based out of Picton, Ontario. They play out of the Empire B Junior C Hockey League.

[edit] History

The Pirates have been in the Junior "C" loop since 1989. They play out of the Picton Arena, located in the east part of Picton beside the historic Crystal Palace. Most Thursday nights in the winter the local fans come out to support the "patcheyes" at their home games.

The Pirates corporate sponsor is Huron Services Group, a logistics company which due to its' local roots took on support of the Pirates in 2001.

The Pirates are the main "feeder" club for the neighbouring Wellington Dukes, with frequent callups occurring.
