Pictive

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pictive is a participatory design method used to develop graphical user interfaces.

It was developed at Bellcore around 1990.

The method basically uses different paper (or, originally, plastic) cards to represent different views of a user interface, and you encourage end users to help shuffling these cards around, editing them, and generally discussing how things are going to work in the end. In the pure-breed version of this method you also videotape the session.
