Pickwick Landing Dam

Pickwick Landing Dam is a dam in Hardin County in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It impounds Pickwick Lake. It is one of nine Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) dams on the Tennessee River.
Pickwick Landing Dam is located at
near Counce, Tennessee.Pickwick is a producer of hydroelectric power. It impounds a pool of water that extends eastward to Wilson Dam in Alabama and covers a portion of the treacherous Muscle Shoals, which once hampered navigation on the Tennessee River.

In the first chorus of his song "Tennessee River Run," country music singer Darryl Worley mentions "...BBQ grills, summertime jams, just about a mile up the Pickwick Dam...".
In a music video for one of his other songs, "A Good Day to Run," Worley can be seen driving across the Pickwick Dam and waving at oncoming drivers.
