One day at school, a class at the school blows up. Jonny, Kevin, Eddy, Edd, and Ed walk out. Edd keeps whining at Eddy about the detention they both got (even though Edd didn't cause the problem. The teacher must have been so angry, he accidently gave him a detention). Then Ed spotted some graffiti on the wall that said, "Eddy is a no-neck chump." Later, Edd is organizing the Lost and Found. Soon, Eddy and Ed come in. Eddy, suspicious, disguises himself under the name "Carl", a kid from Ecuador. Later, he tries to find out who wrote the graffiti. He then walks with the kids until he gets a drink but someone had crossed out Eddy with Carl. Desperate Carl (Eddy) ran out then went under another dusguise of Hugo. But when he came up some had crossed out Carl with Hugo. Later, he changed again into Susette. Then Jonny throws Plank beneath him and tells Kevin to throw the football at him. Then Eddy is revealed. Edd later takes out a glove and sponge and removes the rumor about Eddy. However he had only erased Carl and Hugo and had second thoughts about "Eddy is a no neck chump." Later Ed walks Eddy home talking about Carl, Hugo and Susette.

Ed walked Eddy home even though Eddy had received a detention earlier in the episode, but it is possible that he could've already spent his detention before Ed walked him home.
This episode takes place the October before Hanky Panky Hullaballoo (where Edd gets his first detention). However, strangely enough, he receives one in this episode, and alludes to there having been a few in the past.
