Piano Trio No. 1 (Schubert)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Trio No. 1 in B-flat major for piano, violin, and violoncello, D. 898, was written by Franz Schubert in 1827. It was published as Opus 99. The piano trio contains four movements:
- Allegro moderato
- Andante un poco mosso - This is one of the most exceptionally balanced and movingly exquisite movements in the chamber literature, functioning aesthetically at the near level of Mozart's clarinet quintet, K. 581.
- Scherzo. Allegro
- Rondo. Allegro vivace
