Piano Concerto No. 5 (Mozart)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mozart's fifth piano concerto in D Major, K. 175, was written 1773, when Mozart was 17. It is scored for two oboes, two horns, two trumpets, timpani and strings.

The work is in three movements:

1. Allegro

2. Andante Ma Un Poco Adagio

3. Allegro

It is clear throughout the many letters Mozart wrote that this concerto was his favorite one, and indeed, he played the piece at concerts until the year of his death.
