Piancavallo is a tourist resort of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in north east of Italy. Piancavallo is part of Aviano municipality.

Piancavallo is an internationally-known ski resort. There are 24 kilometers of alpine ski runs and 26 kilometers of cross-country ski trails. There is an Ice Palace, sled dog trails, a snow park for children, and snowtubing.

Piancavallo is situated at 1267 meters above sea level, at the foot of Monte Cavallo (2,251 m).
