Pia Friedal Lindström, born in Stockholm, Sweden on September 20, 1938. She is the first child of actress Ingrid Bergman and Dr. Aron Petter Lindström.

Pia's dad sued for desertion and waged a custody battle for Pia Lindström. Her half brother Roberto Ingmar Rossellini was born February 7 1950, and 2 months later her mother married Roberto Rossellini on May 24 1950. On June 18 1952 Pia's twins half sisters Isabella Rossellini and Isotta Ingrid Rossellini were born.
Lindström was a news anchorwoman and also a Theater & Arts critic for WNBC-TV Channel 4 News (in NYC), and has also made TV appearances and done some acting (in mostly foreign films). She has received two Emmy Awards for news coverage and on-screen performance. She has also received the Associated Press Broadcaster's Award.
She has two sons (Justin and Nicholas) from her first marriage to Joseph Daly. She is currently married to attorney John H. Carley.
