Would it not be simpler to use the abbreviation PI3K? It is now used in most publications, it is unambigous and easier to type.

[edit] Wikipedia Cell Signaling Project

Should this article be incorporated into the wikipedia cell signaling project? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Cell_Signaling) The involvement of PI3K seems to be important in signalling PKB activation, and probably a whole lot of other proteins. --Sinkingpie 00:07, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

It is as important as Rho GTPases or MAP Kinases in global cell signalling, so I would say yes Mammal4 09:00, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
