Phong lighting

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Phong lighting, derived from the Phong reflection model is a model for specular highlighting where the intensity of the white of a specular highlight is proportional to the cosine of the angle between the view vector and the reflection of the light vector, raised to an arbitrary power. This power is a parameter that can be adjusted to give the desired results in terms of size of specular highlight.
