Phoenix Survivors

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Phoenix Survivors are a fully independent voluntary organisation who advocate on behalf of the victims of child sexual abuse (and their families) and for the families of children murdered by child molesters.

The organisation was founded by Shy Keenan, who was the victim of sexual abuse by her step-father, whom she was was forced to expose herself (in collaboration with the BBC's Newsnight programme)) by an apparent lack of concern by police and social services.

Sara Payne, mother of Sarah Payne, joined the organisation at a later date.
