Image talk:Photoshop Edit Example.jpg

it seems that the bridge was applied to rather than removed from the clouds...
- Wrong on both counts. It's not a bridge, it's actually a set of cables attached to an overhang on an amphitheater structure. And like the description says in the Photoshop article, it was removed, not added. -- MacAddct1984 19:32, September 10, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Suggestion
The creator of this image should thoroughly describe how it was created to improve it's value as an image on Wikipedia.
- I'd be happy to. Firstly, like I said in the comment before, the original image is a set of cables attached to an amphitheater. It was taken just off of the West Side Highway in New York City.
- It wasn't a terribly complicated process, just basically done through very careful use of the clone tool.
- 1. The sky was easy, as it is all fairly the same color and little detail. Just careful attention had to be paid to make sure similar shades of blue were used. Since the main pole wasn't very wide, I could easily sample from either side of the metal pole.
- 2. The border of the cloud was the most difficult part. The cloning samples was taken from similar parts of the cloud that weren't covered and then I just added it to where the obstruction was. I also clone what was already added, to make it look like a new unique part of cloud, rather than repeating the texture from elsewhere.
- If you look closely at the higher resolution image, you can definitely spot places that I didn't fix completely. I hope that helps! Maybe I'll add the image to the clone tool page. -- MacAddct1984 01:52, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
