Palau stamp using the World War II painting That 2,000-Yard Stare (note that the painting is incorrectly entitled The Thousand Yard Stare on the stamp). The painting was created in 1944 by American Tom Lea, Life magazine war artist and correspondent from 1941 through 1945.
