Phlegethontia is an extinct genus of lepospondyl amphibian from the Carboniferous and Permian periods. It was about 1 m (3 ft 4 in) long.
Phlegethontia was an aïstopod, a group of legless, snake-like amphibians. It had a lightly built skull with many openings, while the earlier Ophiderpeton had a relatively solid skull with less openings.
