Kelete is a portmanteau of "keep" and "delete", the two main opposing options in any AfD debate. It refers to the practice of entirely deleting an article and then proceeding to rewrite it because the subject is notable, but the present text of the article is so atricious it should be thrown out altogether.

Keletion does not require actual page deletion by means of admin intervention, although that is the only way to clear the keleted text from the openly accessible database. It can also take place simply by blanking an article and rewriting it.

Keleted articles include Color metaphors for race and Randian hero, both of which were keleted by means of blanking by User:Philwelch.
