Maintenance

This is nice, but who is going to maintain this?evrik 20:04, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

  • Well, in fact, we shopuld take turns. --South Philly 04:07, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
What do you mean? Medvedenko 20:16, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
  • I think it was a request for volunteers to coordinate each month. --evrik 18:58, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
    • Yes, exactly. --South Philly 00:41, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

On another note Wikipedia:Portal/Directory#Geography listed me as the coordinator. I want to help, but don't think i have the time as the coordinator of this. I am hoping that others will volunteer. --South Philly 00:41, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

I put your name there along with mine, because you had been maintaing the portal since creating it and I plan to help as long as I contribute to Wikipedia. Medvedenko 01:19, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Monthly Notes

July 2006

I just finishd secting articles for the month. --evrik 04:13, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Just a small thought-- Is there a better color we could select? This one is the default, I think AdamBiswanger1 02:05, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
    • Does it matter? --evrik 22:29, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
      • Yes. New to Wikipedia? See Wikipedia:Introduction, and Wikipedia:Portal. AdamBiswanger1 18:10, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
        • Are you saying that because you're relatively new to wikipedia (two months) that you need guidance? I'm not clear on what you're trying to say. --evrik 17:04, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
        • Can't we just be friends? AdamBiswanger1 17:10, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Feature Status

Do we want to apply for feature status? --South Philly 00:41, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

    • MMMMaybe ... -evrik 03:45, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
      • Its close I think, two problems I feel is the intro needs tightening and they will object to any use of Fair Use images. Medvedenko 01:19, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Changes

Arts

Interesting idea... think you should have asked first? --evrik 15:00, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

I wonder what others think about keeping this section. I don't think there enough good articles related to Philadelphia to fill up three infoboxes. Medvedenko 20:41, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Sports

Should we add a box for sports related information. --South Philly 04:08, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

I think that would be too much, we have four selected article sections here already. Sports can be featured in any of the existing categories, I would even count it as part of culture. Medvedenko 20:16, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Selected anniversaries

I have added a selected anniversaries section to this page. I'm keeping it hidden until the New Year, because I'm replacing the Music Arts & Culture section with it. This frees up a lot more articles to be selected between the Selected biography and Selected article sections. There are just not enough non stub culture articles to make that section worthwhile. Selected anniversaries can include any type of Philadelphia related topic, no matter the quality of the article. Medvedenko 04:03, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Here is a link to the Music, Arts & Culture archive for prosperity. Portal:Philadelphia/Music, Arts & Culture archive/2006.

  • I like the idea of the music and culture. I would say we should keep it to highlight music and the performing arts. I'll write more when I have more time. --evrik (talk) 21:43, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
