Phillipsburg High School is a comprehensive, four-year public high school located in Phillipsburg, in Warren County, New Jersey, United States. This school is located in the eastern part of the Lehigh Valley, at the Pennsylvania border. For this reason, the school's nickname is the "Stateliners."
The school is part of the Phillipsburg School District, an Abbott District that serves students from the town of Phillipsburg and from five area communities: Alpha, Bloomsbury (in Hunterdon County), Greenwich Township, Lopatcong Township and Pohatcong Township, who attend as part of sending/receiving relationships.

[edit] Student population
Phillipsburg High School serves about 1,600 students, in excess of the school's capacity. To compensate for this, the Phillipsburg School District either owns or leases 31 trailers. A plan for a new high school has been in the works for some time, but the current proposal has stalled due to lack of funds. Local parents have organized efforts to advocate on behalf of a new high school building.[1]
[edit] Athletics
Phillipsburg High School has an athletic rivalry with neighboring Easton, Pennsylvania's Easton High School. The two teams play an annual football game on Thanksgiving that is one of the oldest rivalries in American high school football.[2] The game, which typically draws some 10,000 fans, was broadcast nationally on ESPN in 1988. The rivalry, as always, was played on Lafayette College's Fisher Field in Easton. The 100th meeting between the two schools, which Easton won 21-7, was broadcast nationally on ESPN2 on Thanksgiving Day 2006.[3]
[edit] Notable alumni
- Robert B. Meyner, former Governor of New Jersey.[4]
- Jim Ringo, former professional football player, Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles, member of Pro Football Hall of Fame.
