Phillip Rhodes

Phillip Rhodes (born May 26, 1968) was a drummer for the alternative rock band Gin Blossoms during the late 1980s and the 1990s.

He was brought into the band before the release of the group's first album in 1989, as a replacement for drummer Dan Henzerling. He continued to serve as drummer until the group's breakup in 1997, and did not return when the band reunited in 2002. However, in January 2005, it was announced that he would rejoin the band. The reunion did not last. Within a year of rejoining the band, Phillip was dismissed for reasons that were not discussed with him. His termination, according to Phillip, "was a complete shock, the last few gigs I asked Robin how it felt. Robin said he thought it was fine." The unexpected removal of Phillip from the band came as a surprise for many fans and friends.
