Phillip Doyce Hester

Phillip Doyce Hester (born April 30, 1955) is the current CTO and Senior Vice President of semiconductor company Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD).

Phil grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, and attended King High School. Phil holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Phil spent 23 years at IBM, where he was the lead developer for the RS/6000 Phil was also a co-founder, and CEO of Newisys, now a Sanmina-SCI company.
