Philippe Aractingi

Philippe Aractingi is a Lebanese filmmaker. He was born in Lebanon in 1964.

Aractingi went to film school in London and Paris, and he is a graduate of Sud Ecriture. Upon his return to Lebanon, he worked at the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation.
Aractingi produced the French-speaking TV program "Mosaic." He directed and produced numerous documentaries and short films about the war in Lebanon, which aired on Antenne 2, Canal + and Radio Canada. He returned to France where he worked on "Envoyé Spécial," one of France's top-rated TV programs. He also directed films for France 3 and TF1.
While traveling around the world at the age of 28, he made films for the Discovery Channel, Learning Channel USA, BskyB in Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Mongolia, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. Philippe Aractingi has made over 40 documentary films. In 2005, Aractingi wrote, directed and produced Bosta, which was his first fiction feature.
